It&#8217;s certainly such an impressive site that it could use a caretaker, but the <em>honden<\/em> is obviously a prewar construction, and other than some &#8220;historic site&#8221; style maintenance from the city there are no signs of human involvement here.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avery.morrow.name\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/takeo1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-313\" title=\"takeo1\" src=\"http:\/\/avery.morrow.name\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/takeo1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"614\" height=\"461\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avery.morrow.name\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/takeo1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/avery.morrow.name\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/takeo1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/avery.morrow.name\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/takeo1.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 614px) 100vw, 614px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a sense this is what drew me to the shrine&#8211; nature is much a more powerful force here, even viewed from across the street, than humanity could ever hope to be.
